I Love the Whole World

I feel like a sheep because everyone loves this commercial, but it is just good. Because I want to share goodness with the world here it is: the Discovery Channel Boom de ah da commercial; by the way, the commercial is called “It’s All Good.” It is just so damn uplifting.

Boom de ah da Bitches

A little background information, because even a Discovery Channel commercial is not nerdy enough without some in-depth analysis. The song is based on an old girl scout camp song:

I love the mountains
I love the rolling hills
I love the flowers
I love the daffodils
I love the fireside (in some versions “fireflies”)
When all the lights are low
Boom de ah da, boom de ah da
Boom de ah da, boom de ah da

The version used for the commercial was written and performed by Robert Randolph and the Family Band. The song is called A’int Nothing Wrong With That. Finally, here is the Discovery Channel Asia version that played throughout Asia and Austrailia.

The World is Wonderful Even in Asia

David! Robert Randolph and crew are from Orange, NJ; well known to the both of us as the taint of the world, since South Orange is clearly the anus. I hate to be so harsh towards someone’s hometown, but, South Orange, you crossed me. And, I am not a man to be crossed.
